REVOLVER Boutique Coffee House

27th August 2018

As the name suggests, the Revolver Boutique Coffee House (IG: revolverespresso) carries a cowboy theme from the nineteenth century. I know Revolver for a long time, can’t remember when but I remember back then when Revolver was just a small place behind a clothing shop. Now they have extended a little bit more to the back area. Back then, it was only open for breakfast and lunch, now every weekend they open in the Evening serving some cocktail to. They even have DJ tuned played on Friday if I’m not mistaken; you can always check their IG. I personally do not have the experience of visiting Revolver in the evening. The entrance is just right in the 51 alley of Kayu Aya street. In general I was thinking, how is it possible a small coffee shop in the alley like that can be so successful like today? In my opinion, their coffee somehow is the main strength for them to emerge among the hustle bustle of Kayu Aya Street Seminyak and be soo.. famous among the coffee lovers.

They also have baby revolver at Petitenget Street; it’s even a smaller coffee shop in size compared to the main one. It is certainly not a place to have a siesta breakfast, as the place is just too small for you to sit and have a long breakfast. Yet still people found that place and hunting the revs to go (it’s what they called for a coffee to go); amazing.

About the coffee, this is actually the main reason I become one of a Revolver fans. Like I mentioned in my IG, the coffee is my booster, my savior, it is the best way to start the day. I’m quite picky about coffee, and it happened that I love this one. It has a chocolate, caramel and nutty undertone with a delicate sweetness and acidity; just what I like from a coffee. I am comfortable having revolver coffee without any sugar. The coffee that served to the customer always constantly exceptional, we can tell that it’s definitely supported by a skillful baristas; they’re so talented and full of experience. Revolver also sells their house blend and a single origin coffee bean. I used to buy that for me to have it with my plunger at home. You can ask the barista to grind the coffee as needed.

My favorite dish called ‘Most Wanted’; it refers to the ‘Most Wanted Criminal’ poster that we used to see in a cowboy movie, nice 😀 And like its name, they said it is indeed the most wanted dish by their customer. It is a mashed avocado mixed with herbs and feta cheese and lime on sour dough; LOVE IT. This morning my husband ordered this, meanwhile I ordered AK-47 (hahaha… remind me of an old PC game that I used to play, I used to use AK-47 as my weapon in that game). It is a banana walnut bread; delicious.. 🙂

Check out this table. This is just a normal table, nothing special. The cute part is that it’s full with a small tip from the customer, slipped-in under the glass. You’ll notice that it is consist of different currencies from different continent. Cutest part is that on each note, it’s written a small message from the customer. I remember me and my husband did the same, we wrote on a IDR 2,000 note our signature ‘Mr. Bagi and Mrs. Bagi 30.01.18’. This morning when I checked, it was no longer there, haha.. They probably have to regularly clean up the table as so many people every day slip-in a small change in that table.

The waiter and waitress are so friendly; they’re fun and quite casual, yet the service is just beyond your expectation. One time, my coffee got cold and they immediately changed it with a new cup. They’re really understood the meaning of the first sip of a coffee in the morning, 😀 . One thing that I noticed, few of their baristas keeping their mustache like a cowboy from the 19th century, hahaha… what a dedication to the theme, salute to the baristas.

Whenever you go to Seminyak area, spare your time to stop by and have this coffee. It is highly highly recommended for either coffee lovers or for those whose occasionally drinks coffee. I may say is the best way to make your day. Enjoy..

Oh btw, feel free to check out my gallery to see some more pictures of Revolver.
